Title: The Big Lebowski Artist: Tomasz Majewski Dimensions: 24x36 inches Edition Size: 56/60 Production Technique: Screen Print Gallery: Gallery1988
The Big Lebowski by Tomasz Majewski is a masterfully crafted limited edition movie poster that captures the irreverent spirit and cult mystique of the Coen Brothers' beloved 1998 film. Released through the prestigious Gallery1988, this piece exemplifies the elevated alternative poster movement, transforming a cinematic classic into a sophisticated work of fine art worthy of serious consideration.
Produced as a hand-pulled screen print in a tightly controlled edition of just 60 copies, this 24x36 collectible art print represents the meticulous craftsmanship that defines Tomasz Majewski art. Screen printing at this scale demands precise registration and intentional color layering, resulting in the rich, tactile quality that separates genuine limited edition prints from mass-produced alternatives. Numbered 56 of 60, this particular impression sits among the final pieces of a nearly exhausted edition.
For collectors pursuing rare Big Lebowski poster art, the convergence of factors here — a respected artist, an iconic property, Gallery1988's curatorial reputation, and a vanishing edition size — creates a compelling acquisition opportunity. Tomasz Majewski's distinctive visual sensibility resonates deeply with enthusiasts who understand that the finest alternative movie posters function simultaneously as cultural artifacts and enduring works of art.
